PENCIL ROD TRAINING STAKE | AGROW METALS ™
Traing stakes,working as vine support,are essential to maintaining streight trucks. No only are straight trunks aesthetically appealing, they promote healthy vine and make canopy management easier. At the minimum, straight trunks make navigating between narrow vineyard rows easier. Vine support stakes should be left in place as long as possible. Ideally, the vine support stake should be left in place for the life of the vine. Vine support stakes should be fastened or tied to a trellis wire to mantain an upright,vertical position.
Pencil Rod is a Hot rolled and straightened wire rod, which can be used as an ideal vine support stake featured for cost effective and easy installation to train new vines.
Two types of Vine rods are gennerally used
1) Smooth Pencid Rod
2) Corrugrated Pencil Rod

● Made of steel, but more flexible than fiberglass.
● Used to train new vines

● Standard Coating:Unpainted.
● Available in standard lengths: 4’ & 5’. Other lengths available by special order
