FAQ

Q:Why do we bagging the apples?

A:Apple bagging can not only promote fruit coloring, reduce fruit rust, and protect the fruit surface, but also reduce pests and diseases and prevent pests from invading the fruit. At the same time, it can reduce the pesticide residues of the apple and increase the yield of fruit.

Q:When should I bagging the apples?

A:Generally, early and mid-maturing apple varieties are bagged about 30 days after flowering, and mid-late and late-maturing apple varieties are bagged 35 to 45 days after flowering. Bagging too early will make the surface of apples smoother when harvesting, but due to the delicate stalks of the young fruits, the fruit will appear bagging in windy weather; bagging too late, the surface of the apples will be rougher when harvesting.

Q:When should I remove the fruit bag?

A:Pick up the bag about 30 days before harvesting. If it is too early, the fruit will be exposed for a long time, sunburn and ring disease are prone to occur, and the coloring is poor. If it is too late, the sugar content is low, the flavor is weak, and the color is easy to fade after harvest. If only considering the coloring, the bag can be removed later (about 20 days before harvest).
