Peaches are one of the fruits which contain most pesticide residue according to the Environment Working Group. Many growers start to grow peaches organically with the help of fruit bagging. By bagging peaches on the orchard trees, you will harvest bigger, disease-free peaches!
Bagging fruits on the tree - for multiple types of fruits - has been shown to reduce disease and insect infestation significantly. In some other countries, such as China and Japan, bagging fruits is a tradition that goes back for generations.
Bagging is very easy, maybe a little tedious. It’s easy to bag a large number of fruits very quickly. One worker can finish about 3,000 pcs bags every day.
Open the paper bag and place over the fruitlet, keep the fruitlet completely enclosed in the bag. Next, cinch the fruitlet with a paper bag in an accordion-like fashion and secured by a twist tie. Finally, rotate the twist tie(every bag has one wire on the top) at least 360 degrees around the cinched paper.
